GINA VILD is associate dean and chief communications officer at Harvard Medical School. She has received numerous recognitions in a career that spans health care, education and government. For nine years she wrote a column on education and children. Her perspective is shaped by a well-worn passport and a passion for poetry, politics, yoga and meditation. She lives in Boston with her dog Sadie and near her children Gillian and Gareth.
